I've got your 'white fragility' right here, my brother
Faux white guilt has led to real black complicity in the deterioration of US race relations.
Covington Catholic High School’s Nick Sandmann never tried to stare down a phony Native American activist. Smugly or otherwise. And we all should have known it.
Morgan Bettinger never threatened to run over BLM protesters, nor did she make any of the supposedly racist remarks Zyahna Bryant claimed she did. Bryant — a “social justice” activist and Marxian race hustler — can perhaps be trusted to review a new Applebee’s dessert pie, but on all other subjects, the wise move would be to adopt a skeptical pose when engaging with her, if not simply dismiss out of hand anything spilling from her mouth save maybe a tasty fruit filling.
Michael Brown never said “hands up, don’t shoot!” Jacob Blake is not a hero or a civil rights icon — nor should be George Floyd or Trayvon Martin.
Christian Cooper did indeed threaten to take Amy Cooper’s dog. Justin Neely was a crazed homeless man and career criminal who absolutely threatened people on a subway train. Daniel Penny has never been a white supremacist.
Time and time again, the left creates its own mythology, then repeats it until the rest of us just kind of accept it as at least somewhat fairly described. And that’s a fatal mistake, both intellectually and practically.
Physician’s assistant Sarah Comrie, six-months pregnant and coming off of a twelve hour shift in Bellevue Hospital’s neonatal ward, never approached a group of five black teenagers, all of them males, and tried to steal a bike they’d rented — though the mental image of five black teenagers pressed ridiculously together groin to ass on a rented bike peddling down a New York City street on their way to, what? — church? A Hamilton matinée? — I have to admit amuses me enormously.
Similarly, the five male teens who laid claim to the bike never acted “admirably,” as yet another race hustler attempted to frame the interaction; in fact, during the 90-second viral video clip, the men can be seen and heard hectoring the pregnant woman, taunting her, cursing at her, putting hands on her several times, and intentionally creating a “Karen” narrative in real time. Nevertheless, we’re told that if we believe our own eyes — and identify thuggish behavior as belonging to those who act thuggishly, and with what it appears is thuggish relish — then what we’re doing is “using thug as a synonym for the n-word.”
— And yet, the person making that claim is naturally the one who is interested in drawing that connection — in a rhetorical maneuver that has become so trite and boring that I wish I could stop pointing it out: the gambit is meant to forestall any pushback on the preferred and implied racial narrative the grifters are hoping to shape and add to their civic mythologies, while also and simultaneously deterring people from honestly assessing what they’ve witnessed — however out of context and fraught that may be — for fear of being labeled “racist” and publicly scapegoated as a symbol for venal “whiteness” that is now central to the leftist’s “anti-racism” and CRT projects.
These meta-narratives — that society is constructed around an oppressive and omnipresent discourse called whiteness or “white supremacy",” and that the only way to combat that scourge is to engage in present and future racism while achieving permanent race consciousness, as determined by Marxist theorists, on the way toward “equity” — have entered the mainstream of public commentary and spread into our national bloodstream like the mind viruses they are.
Here’s the thing, though. Pointing out thuggish behavior doesn’t commit one to racism because — whereas CRT Theorists, Cultural Marxists, and “anti-racists” reject the idea that the five black men at the CitiBike rack happen to be black and instead make the argument that blackness is central to how they are positioned in society, and therefore largely determines their behavior — those of us outside the poison of collectivism and identity politics understand that it is behavior, not constructionist or intersectional ontology, that determines whether one is acting thuggish, or racist, or misogynist, or homophobic.
To the left, Sarah Comrie — dubbed the “CitiBike Karen” in what is somehow not a racial slur against certain white women — simply must be racist because she is “using her whiteness” to put “black bodies” in danger. That is, she is using the entire history of an irredeemably and permanently racist country as a discursive cudgel — when she yells out for “help!”, she’s not actually in fear for her safety or property; instead, what she’s really yelling is “fellow white people, come abuse these uppity Negroes!” — to keep five black males oppressed in order to maintain the control “whiteness” supposedly has over the meta-narratives that construct the social order and determine the fates of everyone in it.
It is from this kind of repugnant thinking that we hear things like “white tears” being used as a metaphor for lynching, or a pregnant woman’s calls for help against a group of black youth running a CitiBike scam being likened to the murder of Emmett Till (that story itself having become mythologized by a dubious “admission”). And this must be so — just as Morgan Bettinger must have threatened BLM protesters with racial violence, or Nick Sandmann must have been taunting a Vietnam veteran of color — because Theory demands it. Objective truth, empiricism, the idea of neutrality itself — these are all useful fictions we deploy to keep our “white privilege” and maintain our “white supremacy.” To deny this is to engage in “violence” or “genocide” while assuming the pose of “white fragility.” And lest you think your anti-racist activism absolves you from your own racism, fellow Crackers, your claim to being “one of the Woke” is itself a mere pose that gives you license to forgive your ongoing sin of whiteness. You just might be the worst of all whites, in fact.
At this point, it should be clear that the entire Cultural Marxist project, as run through the praxis of “Social Justice” pedagogy and activism, is an attack on what its critics claim is permanent White European culture that has been imposed on them, and from whose yoke they must escape. But of course, escape is impossible, because racism is permanent and whiteness is the dominant and self-maintaining discourse, so all that there remains to do is tear everything down.
All there remains to do is to vilify and dehumanize whiteness. This whole project is anti-white at its core.
To combat this abhorrent ideology, we may try several tacks. For instance, here’s Dustin Siggins, founder of something called Proven Media Solutions, offering one of the more common, useless, and spineless rejoinders to what is in effect an ideology that has no desire, nor any intent, to compromise with his civic vision. In a USA Today piece titled “Citi Bike Karen' viral video shows why we shouldn't rush to judgment,” Siggins — playing the good little simp — lays out what will be his thesis:
Confirmation bias, or the human brain’s tendency to prefer evidence that reinforces existing beliefs, is not new. Nor is the difficulty in overcoming it. What is new is the constant stream of out-of-context or entirely false narratives that fly across the world in a moment − and across our often biased, narrow sources of news and commentary. Instead of thinking critically, we react, sometimes with harmful consequences, as Comrie discovered.
Fox News ran into this problem this month when it ran a story that turned out to be false. The story fit the conservative narrative – homeless veterans were being evicted from hotels in favor of migrants. Instead of holding their fire to fact-check, multiple Fox News programs spread a falsehood that they later had to correct on air after a local news outlet dug up the truth.
In 2019, numerous left-of-center political commentators deleted tweets that – sometimes violently – reacted to a white teenager with a MAGA hat who appeared to be smirking at an elderly Native American man. Nick Sandmann sued several news organizations for their coverage of a 12-second video that, like Comrie’s story, went viral for all the wrong reasons. A couple of days later, a longer version of the video showed Sandmann was a kid being harassed by a professional protester and other adult agitators.
Having dutifully — and ostentatiously — positioned himself as one of those very nuanced thinkers willing play referee against both sides, Siggins then offers the kind of advice we’ve seen and heard a billion times before:
All of us can take three steps to overcome confirmation bias and easy access to social media from endangering people and making ourselves look like fools. The first is to slow down and think critically when we read something that perfectly fits our worldview. Second, we must wait for all the facts to come out and look for original sources. Third – and hardest of all – let the evidence dictate our opinion, not the other way around.
It’s not easy to overcome confirmation bias. I’ve deleted my share of thoughtless, factually incorrect Facebook posts. But it is our obligation to try. Trust often doesn’t fly as far or fast as out-of-context viral stories, and any of us could be Comrie, who says she has received death threats, and Sandmann, who spent over a year pursuing legal action against multiple news outlets.
We’ve all been the fool who contributed to the problem of not waiting for the facts or going to the trouble of finding them. In an era of viral misinformation, we can be part of the solution or part of the problem. The silver lining of the Comrie incident is that it should confirm the one bias worth keeping: waiting (at least) 48 hours before having an opinion on viral stories.
“Confirmation bias,” which Dustin identifies as happening at all points on the intellectual spectrum, is here presented in a vacuum; it allows Dustin to pretend he’s chided all those who have transgressed against truth — including, he humbly brags, himself — when what he’s actually done is perform a ritual, flaccid, feckless and toothless rebuttal against Cultural Marxist Theory, which — because it thrives in narrative control and doesn’t believe in objective truth — would reject the idea of confirmation bias as anything other than a trope to trot out when the Cultural Marxist reckons using it against those who believe in universality, individuality, reason, and objective truth, would further the power aims of the movement.
It’s useless. Like, tits on a broomstick-useless. And in fact it provides the left with an advantage, equating the deliberate and intentional activist lies of the left with mistakes of those on the right who have already to sift through a media hellscape awash in leftist ideology and Marxian narrativizing to find even those few kernels of truth that have somehow escaped the notice of the gatekeepers.
This is a foolish approach to defeating what is demonstrably at this point a neo-Marxian coup; you cannot argue in good faith with contemporary leftist theory and the zealots and activists who promote it. Instead, you must savagely kill it, tear it out by its roots, then salt the earth where it stood.
The way to do this is with brutal honesty and an uncompromising refusal to bend the knee to its demands, no matter where or when they arise. This honesty — which will have no real impact on the leftists in terms of their beliefs, which are intransigent and ossified, for all their pretense of being anti-normative — is only useful insofar as it can be wielded to win back those who still have some remaining commitment to the Enlightenment ideals upon which this nation was founded and then framed.
And so when a race hustling attorney like Ben Crump accuses Sarah Comrie, without evidence, of “weaponizing her white tears,” he can and should be sued for defamation per se. He should also be called what he is — a revolting racist who hates white women with every fiber of his racialist being — after which this accurate and obvious accusation should hold firm in the face of leftist attempts to “problematize” it, almost always on grounds that Crump and others like him, as members of marginalized groups — though lawyers with outsized clout in the current identity politics culture are only “marginalized” in the sense that the term carries with it the most social and political capital available to anyone anywhere today — can’t be racist, because they lack standing within the White Supremacist meta-narrative to hold that kind of power. Only whites can be and are racist, the argument goes; and this is true whether or not whites are overtly discriminatory — and even if the White Supremacist society they maintain as a function of existing has consistently enacted laws meant to ensure equality, or spent trillions on programs meant to ameliorate racial discord and material disparities. Those things, after all, are just the white man’s attempt to let himself off the hook for his “implicit biases” and permanent oppressive posture.
To which I say this: Bullshit. And also? Fuck you.
Because what this is — and all this is — is a black racist using neo-Marxist Theory to tear down the dominant culture and assert his own power and privilege, relying on the fears of some whites — and the guilt of other, weaker whites — to grab that foothold, and the privilege that comes with it.
This same is true for, eg., Dr Rashad Richey, who — like Crump — accused Ms Comrie of “attempted theft” and “racism” before having to walk back the allegations when she later produced a receipt for the bike rental, and the five black men he’d lionized as selfless victims of white terror refused to re-materialize and explain the supposed mix up. Even then, Richey, host of a program on The Young Turks network — in a weak apology — maintained that we still can’t be certain that the black youth, whom he was advocating for because of their youth, “not their blackness” (sure sure), didn’t themselves have a “good-faith claim” to the bicycle. That is, he wants us to grant to those men who have all but disappeared after causing this racial nightmare — and who haven’t produced any documentation to indicate their claim to the bike they accused Ms Comrie of trying to “steal” — a benefit of the doubt he refused to grant the “White Karen” whom he doxxed and convicted prematurely on air.
He too needs to be sued, for defamation per se, his show canceled, and even his shadow seen as an affront to a healthy civil society. He’s a racist, a misogynist, and a grifter; and that’s what he should be known for — that, and nothing more.
There are others, of course — many of them white liberals piling on for the racial virtue that they don’t yet understand they cannot ever truly lay claim to under the CRT aegis — and they, too, should be pointed to, scolded, shunned, and shamed. Emma Vigeland, for instance, appearing on “The Majority Report”, casually accused Ms Comrie of being “racist” and “possibly drunk” — her tears “convenient” and meant to achieve the “deeply racist ends” of, well, of taking possession of the bike she paid to rent, it turns out.
Another silver spoon leftist, she should be sued for defamation per se. Sue Comrie’s employer, while you’re at it, who put her on leave and released a statement condemning “discrimination” over what turns out to be a property dispute whose racial component was entirely ginned up by leftists who need desperately for systemic racism to make itself visible. YouTuber Vaush also chimed in, trashing Comrie for being a white nurse in the face of noble black men wanting dominion over the bike she’d rented. Because we all know how her type is: “She’s trying to steal the bike,” he tells his viewers with all the confidence of a SCOTUS Justice, “and / or get these black guys arrested. This woman is either a sociopath, a racist, or both. And [she is] just trying to nab a free bike and get some black guys arrested.” Because yeah, that’s what stats would predict is happening in the world where people preen online for cheap grace.
Sue him. Wreck his channel. Take everything the smug twerp has or ever might have. Sue them all, in fact. Take their money. All of it. Bankrupt these people. Make it so that, as Ms Comrie’s lawyer has made clear, media hacks learn to hesitate going forward — not because they don’t want to shape the narrative around their ideological proclivities —but because there’s a serious personal and professional cost to doing so. So committed are these types to the cult’s narratives that they can’t be bothered to consider the humanity of the people they are helping to destroy. So it’s time to dis-incentivize such desires.
Like Nick Sandmann, I want to see Sarah Comrie made insanely rich as the result of what she’s been put through by both legacy media and the constellation of racialist dwarf planets that make up the left’s ancillary online universe. The race grifters and those who glide along in their wake must be shown once and for all that there is recourse in law to their odious attacks — and that such recourse leads to hurt. Bad, bad, hurt.
Laying financial and professional waste to every last one of these communist race-baiters is a much needed first step to restoring a functioning civil society. Call them what they are: racists. Don’t apologize. Don’t ever apologize for your skin color. Because of all the things about you, it’s likely the least important if you aren’t a race Marxist to begin with.
And that’s not going to remain a cool pose for very much longer, if we handle this correctly.
Update: Attempts to exonerate the black teen go poorly. Both the teen’s sister and a prominent middle-aged TikTok creater (in a video released by said TikToker, “TizzyEnt”), literally prove that the only “entitled” person in this story is the black teen who thought that, having once rented the CitiBike in question, it thereafter belonged to him in perpetuity, whether docked — and thus publicly available — or not. In other words, it’s his bike because he once rode it, whether he’s currently paying for the rental or he isn’t. That’s just racial science!
As the below video clearly lays out, however, the provided time stamps directly align with Ms Comrie’s characterization of events, and prove that the black teen did literally steal the bike away from Ms Comrie.
I’ll put this plainly: this teen tried to use his status as “black” and thus “marginalized” and “oppressed” as a weapon to assert a privilege he hadn’t earned but which the left argues is his based on his racial situatedness and social positionality, much in the vein of other race hustlers referenced in the essay proper. This move shall hence force be known as “race Marxist privilege.” Or maybe, “Crumping”.
I hope Ms Comrie’s lawyer sues the absurd hipster beard right off of this preening leftist toad.
Update 2: Game over, @TizzyENT.

Cogent and compelling analysis in this column.
There was a time when intelligent and sensible juries could be counted on to right these wrongs using relevant causes of action and admissible evidence. There was also a time when smart judges could be counted on to apply the law fairly and let said erstwhile intelligent and sensible juries do their job.
The sun is setting on that legal system. The legal profession is a leftist sinking ship. The average American juror - on whom we are supposed to rely - is an increasingly sub-literate tool of social media and a blindingly stupid culture, predisposed to buy into every error in thinking and faux bias claim this column properly identifies.
You've got to hand it to the leftists. They made sure the legal system rotted from the inside out, invisible to most people. Now it's all but hollowed out, and growing worse each day, with only the merest pretenses and ersatz forms of a system predicated on the rule of law.
Add this gem to the list of "reasons why" the system is collapsing from the inside out.
Not a racial angle as such here but it's exquisite evidence of Marxist thought control, the thin, screedy camouflage of the professional race bullies. I'm sick and tired of keeping my mouth shut about it, frankly.
