Episode 20: we are the champions! Also? We are the villains!
For the second straight season, my son Tanner won the Middle School District Wrestling tournament. Last season he was the 6th grade champ; on Saturday, he won the 7th and 8th grade championship as a 7th grader.
Last season, Tanner won all three matches by fall, with none reaching the second period. He didn’t surrender a single point. On Saturday, he won all three matches by fall, with only one reaching the second period — and Tanner ahead 9-0 — before he secured the pin. And once again, he didn’t surrender a single point.
