Anatomy of a Smear: Democrats and the Legacy Press Collude on a Narrative that Makes Little Sense
It’s a shell game. And you’re the mark.
As more information comes in with respect to the Paul Pelosi attack, I think it important that we review what facts we can (mostly) agree on, then scrutinize those facts in the frame being offered by the legacy media to cover the events — a macro-narrative approach meant to “contextualize” what otherwise may be viewed as a crime story, albeit a high profile one.
Here’s what we know: an itinerant and often homeless pedophilic illegal alien drug abuser and (according to some sources, like the dubious Santa Monica Observer) sometimes male prostitute with a litany of prior felonies and an extensive history of mental illness — who’d been living in a dilapidated bus just outside a Berkeley hippie commune and known drug den festooned with a BLM banner, a rainbow pride flag modeled on the US flag, dotted with marijuana leafs where the stars normally appear, and featuring a sign that read “Berkeley is no home for hate” — entered the home of Paul and Nancy Pelosi at about 2 am Friday, and then, with police on the scene, struck Mr Pelosi twice in the head with a hammer. Ms Pelosi and her security detail were not in town. No alarm was triggered by the break in, and no security was noted at the home at the time of the incident. Mr Pelosi called 911 from his bathroom to report the intruder before winding up somewhere near where police entered the premises, struggling with his assailant over a hammer.
The attacker was a man well-known to neighbors, local law enforcement, and local media as both a heavy drug user and a part-time nudist who, neighbors recounted, had been accused by at least one stepchild of sexually assaulting his own minor children and step children. The drug of choice at the Berkeley house was the psychedelic drug ibogaine, which had been smuggled over the border into the US from Mexico, where it is legal. Neighbors reported that it was in common use at the commune, often driving the hippies into flights of paranoia and fantasy. The attacker himself seemed to think he could talk to faeries and angels, and for a while, that he was the son of God.
To Democrats and the media, the motive here is painfully obvious: Mr Pelosi’s attacker is emblematic of the kind of person heated rhetoric by “far right” Republicans incites into acts of physical violence. The attack, in fact, was an extension of the sin of criticizing those in power, revealing a dangerous underbelly of MAGA provocateurs hoping to gin up “stochastic terrorism” whose verbal tropes will violently upset the civil order.
This narrative has been ubiquitous in the “progressive” legacy press since the incident, in a lockstep effort with Democrat officials to tie an attack by a mentally ill drug abuser to the 70+ million American deplorables who had the gall to reject the 2020 Democratic Party platform.
That’s their story — regardless of the agreed upon facts I’ve outlined — and they’re sticking to it.
But for the events we agree took place to have transpired in the first place, certain pre-conditions needed to obtain: 1) an open border policy that allows both human trafficking and the smuggling of illicit drugs, including poisons like fentanyl, to enter the country, where they are then shared in open-air drug dens or used, without policing, on the streets and in the storefronts of urban centers 2) government policy on both the state and city level that make deportation of illegals — even those with multiple felonies — difficult. SF is a sanctuary city in the sanctuary state of California. This makes it a safe space for mentally ill illegals with multiple felony arrests to live unmolested by the racist pigs out hunting blacks for sport 3) Marxist prosecutors who favor criminals, and are loath to bring the kind of charges that would effectively take an illegal felon off the streets, preferring instead to illustrate their “compassion” in an ostentatious and highly politicized way 4) an ethos in which police are demonized and defunded, and face intense scrutiny for making arrests against protected classes 5) in a city and state that have both failed to address the enormous problems of sidewalk and parking lot homeless encampments and open air drug use — seeming in each instance to support the “rights” of the mentally ill and the drug addled to live as they see fit, even if that means an increased danger to law abiding tax payers.
So we must ask the legacy media intent to pin an attack in hyper-liberal SF on Republican voters who were mostly home, nestled in their beds at the time of the assault, the following: which of the policies that led to an often homeless nudist illegal immigrant with a drug problem, mental health issues, and multiple felonies being free to roam the streets of Berkeley and San Francisco, can be tied to a single policy “MAGA Republicans” — whom we’re told are at fault here, despite never breaking in to the Pelosi home and never attacking the Speaker’s husband with a hammer — support or would campaign on?
Republicans believe an open borders policy promotes the illegal drug trade — as well as human trafficking — resulting in higher crime and the death of many Americans from fentanyl and other poisons. They believe that “sanctuary states” or “sanctuary cities” are an affront to our country’s duly passed immigration law, a bit of virtue signaling that only lasts until 50 or so “migrant asylum seekers” are dropped into Martha’s Vineyard, where they are welcomed with a town parade before being quickly and efficiently removed and sent to a military encampment far away from the coastal elite and their private islands. Republicans believe felons — especially those with multiple felonies — should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law and removed from polite society; in fact, they find the idea of no-cash bail and “prosecutorial discretion” in favor of repeat or violent felons abhorrent and irresponsible, the cause of urban hellscapes where non-criminals are treated as prey who fund, through the exorbitant tax rates pushed by Democrats, their own molestations and, too often, demises. Republicans don’t believe the homeless have the “right” to squat wherever they wish, shit wherever they want, shoot-up wherever they are, and harass whomever they can, should the urge arise. To Republicans, granting the mentally ill free drug paraphernalia and a slab of sidewalk to lay claim to, is a recipe for crime, decay, and civic decline.
It should be obvious to everyone at this point that the left’s narrative, as dutifully regurgitated by the helmet-haired legacy news prompter jockeys, is both a deflection away from their own absurdist ideological policies, and a diversion from what has been less widely commented upon: that while SF prosecutors were quick to release Mr Pelosi’s attacker when he committed his other felonies — presumably against unimportant people who don’t have the necessary social standing to rate as victims — in this case, he’s being held without the no-cash bail policy the city otherwise promotes, and with an immediate FBI presence to oversee the case, even though the attacker was taken into custody by local law enforcement at the scene.
Or, to put it more succinctly, Democrat politicians and their legacy media praetorian guard are perfectly happy to run on policies that harm you and I, but that they also assume won’t impact them.
But when they do — when an illegal felon with a history of insanity living in a known drug den decides to strike an elite with a hammer, or when beleaguered border towns in Texas send illegal crossers to NY or DC — the policy changes, but only on a per case basis.
This is the very essence of a two-tiered system of Justice. And it’s being promoted by a collaboration of legacy media gatekeepers and the Democratic Party, both of whom have become increasingly fond of sub rosa policy to censor undesirables with the temerity to question them.
In truth, it matters little what this mentally ill person posted to social media of late — which remains in dispute. What matters is that he was mentally ill, was known to be mentally ill, was an abuser of psychedelic drugs, and was a felon allowed to remain free and on the streets of progressive CA all the way up to the moment he decided, using an internal morality known only to him, that attacking Mr Pelosi was somehow necessary, even when the Speaker’s husband wasn’t the purported target.
Nevertheless, a CBS News apparatchik tried to browbeat a GOP representative into removing political adds that mention the Democratic House Speaker in the closing days of an election — the premise being that criticizing politicians with words, which 1A explicitly intended to guarantee was constitutionally protected as a natural right, is akin to physical violence via “incitement”.
The “progressives” aren’t new to such censorious policy, of course. In 1918, Democrat Edwin Yebb introduced the Sedition Act (Amendments to the Espionage Acts), signed into law by Woodrow Wilson, a progressive segregationist and former Princeton president.
Per Wikipedia, “[the act] forbade the use of ‘disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language’ about the United States government, its flag, or its armed forces or that caused others to view the American government or its institutions with contempt. Those convicted under the act generally received sentences of imprisonment for five to 20 years.”
The Act was met with strong resistance and was repealed two years later.
This contemporary desire on the part of Democrats, the legacy media, and their allies in social media, to define “hate speech” as violence — with those in power granting themselves leave to define the meaningless term at their whim — is just the latest iteration of the leftist goal of throttling speech to compel consensus, even going so far as to attempt the criminalization of dissent.
Words aren’t synonymous with either violence or incitement. But it is this aggressive push by the left to make it so — either by “worrying” over “disinformation” or “hate speech” — that is in every important way anti- American, unconstitutional, and elitist.
It promotes the neo-feudal design behind the Great Reset.
And that’s the takeaway here: what started with a mentally ill nudist with a hammer has been revealed as yet another attempt by the left to censor, shame, and criminalize speech — especially speech that is critical of their elite class.
The same concern wasn’t evident when a kid crossed the country to assassinate a SCOTUS Justice and murder his family — a Justice the media told us all without any proof was a drunken serial rapist who ran orgies in high school, and now was intent on taking away women’s rights.
They lie. And increasingly, everyone knows it.
Filter out the noise. Distill the charges to their essence, then from there pinpoint the noisome kernel of their intent.
Once you see it, you’ll never unsee it.
And it’s never been more important than to open your eyes.

Update: Some sources have reported that at least one the assailant’s s sites, since removed, had supposed content going back to August, though the site itself wasn't registered until September of this year. The same report noted that web archives showed no activity until the day of the attack. FWIW.
